A Few Sri Lankan Days ☀️

Due to a series of unfortunate events, we stayed only a short few days in Sri Lanka but we soaked up as much as we could.  We started in Colombo, busy and full of things to see.  The heat here was much more intense than back in India, but we managed to stay cool while visiting parks with shade, trees and temples around the city.

We made the trek down to south Sri Lanka where we spotted wild peacocks along the way.  We stayed in Mirissa, touristy but still with beautiful beaches and lush terrain.  We stayed only a few days here with a very kind and generous family.

We couldn’t wait to get to Bali, so we made our way back to Colombo for another red eye flight.  Our connection to Bali was through Kuala Lumpur, this airport was amazing! We had almost a 6 hour layover here at 1am in the morning… but we stayed in a hotel in our terminal- it was great, we were able to sleep and were not jet lagged like our usual selves after a red eye travel day.  I highly recommend this Airport to anyone traveling through south east Asia.

On to Bali, a place I’ve been dreaming of my whole life! ❤️
