Driving through Ireland this week was the most stimulating road trip of my life. It was as I always imagined it, lush green landscapes with wandering livestock, ancient stone castles and breathtaking coast lines. I was in a state of bliss while driving, walking, sitting and simply enjoying the sights.

We started our 5-day journey from Dublin in a zippy, black Octavia. We stayed in four different towns along the way. First stopping in the little town of Westport, on to Galway, Limerick and Killarney before heading back to Dublin. We both conquered our fears of driving on the opposite sides of the road. Sometimes it was fun, and other times it was a little anxiety provoking – depending on who was in the drivers seat! We bought the mother load of insurance, but turns out we were better at driving than we thought. There were some close-calls, but we made it back unscathed and without a scratch on the car.

For me, the enjoyment was less about the towns and more about the in-between. Don’t get me wrong, all of these towns were quaint, stimulating and full of really nice people, but it was the journey to these places that changed my life. I had such a gratifying feeling doing things I’ve always dreamed of doing and seeing things up close I’ve only read about or witnessed in photos. I will forever remember the sights, sounds, feelings and memories from this beautiful place. I have to give so much credit to Jonathan, without his passion and persistence for traveling we may have not taken this trip. Now, I can’t imagine not doing this. In fact, I wish everyone could have this experience. It’s changing my life, my perspective and my love for new and amazing experiences. It’s freeing and inspiring and it’s helping me to appreciate the small details of living.

I am so happy for both of you Your adventures sounds fantastic. I wish you all the best and send you lots of love.
