Though frigid, Dublin was refreshingly energetic. The people were friendly and approachable, places were easy to find and the Guinness was remarkable.

We spent most of our time walking, site-seeing and enjoying the pubs and restaurants here. We ate breakfast at a cute cafe, and Jonathan really enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast — bacon, sausages and black and white puddings, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato, and beans served with Irish soda and a glass of orange juice + coffee/tea. I, on the other, hand have been addicted to a morning cup of English Breakfast tea and a croissant if I can find one!

We spent New Year’s Eve walking the main streets and people watching. We stopped-in to a whiskey tasting room to sample some of the most popular Irish whiskeys.

We made our way to Palace Bar to ring in the New Year, but struggled to stay awake (we are usually in bed and asleep by 10pm). Despite our tired eyes, we welcomed the new year with optimism and joy. By 12:01, we were on our way back to our hotel, fighting the first rain of our trip. By 12:15, we were in bed and sound asleep.
We woke up in the morning ready for our next adventure. Next up: West coast Ireland Road trip. 🚗
Such poetic narratives! I love them! Thank you. Keep enjoying life and its unplanned adventures.
